Administration Ministry

LSPC believes one way disciples grow is in and through acts of service.  Accordingly, it is the responsibility of the Administration Ministry to act as faithful stewards over the daily operations of LSPC.  Stewardship of this nature requires ongoing commitment to “service” so all that is necessary to keep LSPC functioning for the “Glory of GOD.”

LSPC also believes that disciples grow by giving of their time, talent, and treasure to GOD.  Giving has been defined as “offering as a present” and to “hand over.”  Mark 12:43-44 reads, “Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything – all she had to live on.”  Giving to GOD is a faithful way to order one’s life.

Witness Ministry

LSPC believes one way that disciples grow is in and through acts of service.  Accordingly, it is the responsibility of the Witness Ministry to promote and coordinate opportunities for the members and visitors of LSPC to live as witnesses to the “Good News of Jesus Christ.” This witness is to be made known in and through loving acts of service in and beyond the Church.  Jesus calls us to exhibit a witness that is comprised of both words and deeds.

One’s witness grows out of a heart that is willing to serve others with love.  Jesus served that way and his followers must too.  Service has been defined as, “The occupation of being a servant.”  Matthew 20:27-28 reads, “…and whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Disciples GROW as they serve GOD by serving others!

Word Ministry

LSPC believes one way that disciples grow is in and through worship.  Accordingly, it is the responsibility of the Worship Ministry to promote and coordinate opportunities for worshipping GOD.  LSPC acknowledges that GOD seeks those who will worship in Spirit and in Truth (see John 4:23-24).  LSPC also acknowledges the aim of worship is to, “…joyfully ascribe all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God” (BOO –W-1.001).

LSPC also believes that men and women were made for worship.  The world worships many things, but as children of GOD we were designed to worship GOD and GOD alone.  Worship has been defined as, “The service of praise, adoration, thanksgiving, and petition directed toward God through actions and attitudes.” Matthew 4:10 reads, Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.”

Music Ministry and Bell Choir

Handbell Choir

Our goal is to enhance our worship time together using music that gives glory to God with simple and easy to listen arrangements. Often this ensemble provides additional accompaniment to the congregational singing.

Our little group of eager ringers, which is also a wonderful fellowship opportunity, welcomes others to join.  Email the office at lspcsatx@sbcglobal.net to express your interest.
